She facilitates the development of language skills necessary for oral presentations and stories through workshops and professional development opportunities with children, parents, and teachers. The workshops for children and educators are aligned with Common Core Standards in English Language Arts.
She has told stories for school assemblies and literacy nights, at banquets, during festivals, and at other gatherings. Her wonderful experiences as a wife, mother, grandmother, classroom teacher, and nurse are carried with her wherever she ventures! She often “teams-up” with husband Dave in performances and workshops to add his storytelling gifts and his expertise with the ukulele.
She is a graduate of William Jewell College, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood. Her Master of Arts in Teaching degree was earned at Webster University. She has completed numerous storytelling workshops with nationally known professional storytellers. Her education in nursing was completed at Jewish Hospital School of Nursing.
